Quatech’s 1, 2, 4, and 8 port Universal PCI Serial Boards for RS-232 and RS-422/485 provides universal connectivity
that are compatible with +3.3V or +5V systems with speeds up to 921.6 kbps. Serial port connection
are made via an onboard DB-9 male port for single port models, and via included cables providing 2, 4, or 8
DB-9 male connectors for multiport boards. The MD1 Low Profile Board fits 2U racks without riser cards and
perform at 16550 UARTS with 16-byte FIFOs (16750 UARTS for 8 port).

Select RS-232 one to eight port cards, or RS-422/485 one and two port cards. Use RS-422 to extend range, RS-485 to extend range and provide multi-drop ability.

DB9 connectors offer positive thumbscrew locking, more robust than phone jack connectors. One port model has port on faceplate.

Two and four port models include fan-out cables.

Operate on both 3.3 and 5 volt PCI, as well as PCI-X buses. Maximum baud rate on most models is 460.8 kbps (Model QSCLP-100 has a maximum baud rate of 921.6 kbps). Support Win 95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP, Linux and OS/2.
