ExpressCard Communication
Add network, serial and parallel interfaces, multi-memory card reader and eSATA connectivity with Quatech
ExpressCards products. The next generation PC Card technology, the new card is about half the size and
lighter than today's PC Card. ExpressCards also leverage the proven advantages of PC Card technology
including reliability, durability and expansion flexibility. Quatech ExpressCards are available in 1 or 2 ports in
Ethernet or SATA configurations and 1, 2 or 4 ports in serial configurations. Quatech also offers a 17 in 1
Multi-Memory Card Reader. The technology uses a smaller connector and eliminates the Cardbus controller
by using direct connections to PCI-Express. Quatech's ExpressCard maximizes advanced features such as
hot plug-n-play and auto-configurations. High Performance PCIe based serial/parallel designs maintain higher
speeds (up to 921.6 kbps) with 1KB FIFOs, access to UART registers and addressing to emulate native serial
port.
