The PROATM-155F ATM network interface cards are intended to be used in workstations and servers that connect to ATM fiber optic networks (STS/STM-1/OC3). The compact architecture of PROATM-155 ATM NIC is based on the 77252 SAR from IDT. A 512 KB onboard fast memory permits to open 4096 connections simultaneously. Two LED indicators give a status of the connection and the driver activity.

The PROATM-155 ATM network cards are compatible with all major switches. They can be used in a network with ATM equipments from other suppliers. As all PROSUM network adapters, they come with a lifetime warranty, backed with a free technical support.

Operating System Compatibility

On Windows 2000/XP: The NDIS 5.0 driver driver gives access to the Microsoft ATM software layers. It supports the UBR, CBR, VBR and ABR QoS and is compatible with Winsock2.

On Linux: A rich set of functions is available on this operating system. See ATM on Linux. The nicstar2.tgz driver runs on Linux kernels 2.4.xx and 2.6.xx. It supports the UBR, CBR, VBR and ABR QoS.

On FreeBSD: The proatm.tar.gz driver runs on FreeBSD 3.5, 3.51, 4.1 and newer. With 5.xx kernels, use the new PATM driver. The card and the driver comply with the HARP ATM software and support the UBR, CBR and VBR QoS.
